On September 10, 2001 I passed the Private Pilot checkride.  My journey began in 1997, through inspiration from my grandfather, Carl Levonius Sr. , a Naval Aviator in World War II and Certified Flight Instructor.   I soloed after 7 hours of initial instruction.

 

I have also received my High-Performance and Complex endorsements in a PA32R-300 Piper Lance. 

 

Currently I am working towards my  Multi Engine rating in a Piper Seneca I at 2 Genes Aviation at South County airport in San Martin, CA.

  • 8-11-01 - "Bay Tour"
    I flew the San Francisco Bay Tour in a Piper Archer II aircraft.  My friend Dan Singletary was there for the ride, and took pictures with my digital camera.

  • 9-30-01 - "Columbia"
    Jennifer and I took a trip to Columbia.  You can see pictures, and a brief summary of our trip here.

  • 2-03-02 - "Lake Tahoe"
    Jennifer and I flew to South Lake Tahoe.  You can those pictures here.

  • 11-17-02 - "Grants Pass, OR"
    Dan Singletary and I flew a Piper Lance to Grants Pass, OR to pick up Jennifer from her parents.  This has been my  longest trip to date, 340nm each way.  WE  stayed overnight and flew back on 11-18-02.  You can see pictures from our trip here.

 

I typically fly out of South County Airport (Q99) in San Martin, CA and Reid-Hillview (RHV) Airport in San Jose, CA.  I have logged time in the left seat of the following aircraft:
